It Is What It Is

I have had the pleasure of knowing Al for many years. He is one of the most likable and friendly people that I have ever met. I enjoyed watching him in action on jobsites, with his meticulous attention to detail and making sure that the guys cleaned up after every days work was completed. I could tell that customers really appreciated his work ethic. He always made me feel welcome in his home and that I wasn't just another person doing some work. I have seen him show a loving side with his grand children and a caring and concerned side when trying to raise a group of chicks. We talked on several occasions, about my dad and what I was trying to do for him. Al always had some positive advice for me and I appreciated him sharing some years of his wisdom with me. One of his favorite comments was "It is what it is". I always went home with the feeling that I had just visited with a good friend. He will be missed, but always remembered.
