Caledonia: January 19, 2017 at age 82. Predeceased by his best friend and brother, Donnie Pullyblank. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Betty Jane; their children, Michael (Fay) Pullyblank, Stephen (Ann) Pullyblank, Ann (Carl) Cornwell, James (Peggy) Pullyblank, Thomas (Kristin) Pullyblank, Amy (Dan) Harmon; 13 grandchildren, Craig and Brian Pullyblank, Kevin, Stephanie, and Kyle Pullyblank, Matt (Ashley) Cornwell, Kelly Cornwell, Jay and Shannon Pullyblank, Bradon Pullyblank, Nick, Katie, and Hannah Harmon; 1 great-granddaughter, Chloe Pullyblank, several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass Monday, January 23, 2017 11AM at St. Columba Church, 198 North St., Caledonia. Private Interment St. Columba Cemetery. Life Story for Robert "Bear" Pullyblank
Bob loved spending time with his loving wife of 60 years and large family. His grandchildren were the light of his life and he would speak of them to anyone willing to lend an ear. He was an avid Atlanta Braves and Buffalo Bills fan along with any team that faced the New York Yankees! He loved music and especially enjoyed the music of the Mighty St. Joe's Drum and Bugle Corp and Caledonia's own Kelley's Heroes.
Bob loved his hometown of Caledonia and was an avid high school sports fan. Bob became known as the "Voice of the Red Raiders" for his animated announcing of Cal-Mum Football games and wrestling matches. Friday nights at Hamilton Field were legendary with the call of "On Your Feet Raider Fans". He was a member of the Cal-Mum Football Hall of Fame and also served on the Cal-Mum Football Banquet Committee.
Bob was a dedicated member of the Caledonia-Mumford Community including being a member of the Hook and Ladder Company of the Caledonia Fire Department for 56 years. He was instrumental in organizing and performing Master of Ceremony duties for numerous Caledonia Fire Department Parades. Bob served as a Village of Caledonia Trustee, was a member of the Cal-Mum Youth Baseball Hall of Fame and was recognized as Lions Club Citizen of the Year in 1992. He was also a founding Board Member of the Dr. Andaloro Memorial Scholarship.
Bob worked for Kodak for 47 years as a Financial Accountant and during this time he also served as the Recreation Coordinator for Kodak intramural basketball and softball leagues.
