We were so sorry to read in the Rock Springs newspaper of the passing of our friend Don. When he lived here we always enjoyed going out to dinner for birthdays & at other times. We missed him when he moved away & were shocked to read of his passing. We will keep you, his family in our prayers. He loved you all & I'm sure you will really miss him.
Don never forgot to send me a Birthday card every Jan. 14. I will cherish the one I got from 2016. I feel like I was lucky enough to have 2 Dads in my lifetime since the card was always signed Dad Parr. I will miss you Dad 2.
I met Don in NY years ago at an event for Todd and was very touched by how supportive he was of his son. He was visibly moved by Todd's work and just so proud. I was very moved by this and always felt what a good father he was. It was too soon for him to go and such a terrible loss but I'm sure he's watching over Todd right now and is still just as proud as ever. xo
I only met Don once when he attended an event for his son, Todd. One look in Don's eyes and a handshake was all it took to know this was a good, warm and wonderfully sincere man. My condolences to the Parr family.
Hey dad,
I guess you didn’t get your internet fixed today since I haven’t received any emails from you. Now know I never will.
I just wanted to send another one to tell you how much I love you and how you have inspired my life. I cannot thank you enough for all you did for me. You made me who I am today. I will miss out daily email exchanges, but I will be talking to you every day up there in heaven. Yes, I know that is where you are. You did too much good here on earth and made too many sacrifices for other not to end up there. I know you will be cheering me on as I keep reaching for my dreams, and as I deal with my struggles. I am a stronger and better person because of you. Thank you for all you did for me. I will now look for your Monday morning emails wishing me a “Great week and many good things happen to you.” From up above. I will still “call” you on Fridays and Sundays. Say hi to mom, grandpa Parr, granny Parr, the rest of the family and all my friends. I know they will take good care of you. You will laugh and love and not have any more sleepless nights or pains. Eat all the hot dogs, donuts and Grand Old Parr Scotch you want. You deserve it. I will do my best to take care of everyone, and I will also keep you updated on the latest Bill Hootnick stories and put a few extra dollars in the machines in Vegas for you. Be sure and tell grandpa Parr all the things you never got to say to him. Oh, have a taco with Elden Staley and take Bully for a walk for me and let him sleep with you.
I love you
Your son, Todd
