James "Larry" Bishop
Caledonia: On December 18, 2015 at age 80. Predeceased by his parents, Frederick & Agnes; his brothers, Richard and Bill Bishop; granddaughters, Sharon Lynn Bishop and Erica Bishop. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Doris; their children, Stephen (Debbie) Bishop, Karen (Dennis) Wilkin; grandchildren, Stephen Bishop Jr., Michelle Wilkin, April (Jeff) Mills, Jeffrey (Katharine) Wilkin; 4 great-grandchildren, Breyanna and Jakob Bishop, Lliam and Kierdon Mills; sister, Shirley Lindsey; brothers, Jerry (Nancy) Bishop, Chuck (Nancy) Bishop; sister-in-law, Patricia Bishop; many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Monday 4-7 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia. His Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday 11 AM at St. Columba Church, North St., Caledonia. Interment, St. Columba Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Caledonia Fire Dept., PO Box 1, Caledonia, NY 14423

Life Story for James "Larry" Bishop
Larry devoted his life to the service to others. Larry's service included roles as President of the Caledonia Fire Department, Past Deputy Chief, and a founding member of J.W. Jones Hall. Larry was also a life member of the Fireman's Association of New York, Livingston County Fireman Association, and Western New York Fireman Association. Larry also was a 40 year member of the Caledonia-Mumford Lion's Club. Larry was also a collector of antique fire trucks.
