The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Raymond Sands can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

My Uncle Ray

Uncle Ray often mentioned how much his mother influenced him with her work ethic and devotion to her family.  He learned well and was one of the hardest working man I knew.  From restoring classic cars, maintaining the Jeepsters for the Shrine, volunteering in many venues to help others and even cooking up a storm in the kitchen, he was the energizer bunny.  I might add he even cleaned the kitchen after meals to a pristine condition.  His life was very organized and he was very proud of his fellow Shriners.  Ray was always available to drive a child to the burn center or participate in an event for the community. He was a true Irishman but one of his favorite haunts was the Italian American Club for dinner. Uncle Ray loved his sisters and was a typical  brother with his antics and jokes but he loved celebrating birthdays with them if possible each year.  He will be missed by many people whose lives he entered.  We know he will be volunteering to "fix" something in the next world. The Bill and Karen Jahn family wish him God speed with love.
