Obituary for Joseph Horace Cornell

Cornell, Joseph Horace
Mumford: October 1, 2014 at age 91. Predeceased by his first wife, Maryetta; 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He is survived by his wife, Phoebe; children, Tom (Mary Anne) Cornell, Larry (Rebecca) Cornell, JoAnn (Jeff) Parent, SueAnn (Keith) Bliss; step-children, Gerald (Judy) Tompkins, Rodney (Char¬lene) Tompkins; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; very special granddaughter, Sheri Breeze; sister, Elsie Lowell; sister-in-law, Margaret Cornell; several nieces and nephews. Joe was a Veteran of WWII US Army Air Corp. and was the recipient of several ser¬vice awards including the Purple Heart. Joe was very active work¬ing until age 90 when he decided to retire. Joe was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mumford since 1957.
Service and Interment will be held privately with Military honors. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to First Baptist Church of Mumford Memorial Fund, 5 Dakin Street, Mumford 14511 or a charity of your choice. Arr. Alhart Funeral Home.
