William Hammond

William F. Hammond, Jr. passed away on July 31, 2025 at the age of 55. Will passed doing what he loved, trucking.

Will is predeceased by his mother, Linda Mae Williams; father, William F. Hammond, Sr.; and two brothers, Danny and Thomas (Tommy).

Will is survived by his wife, Verneda; and their children, William, Autumn, Brittany, Victoria, and Paige; along with three brothers, Andrew, John, and Patrick. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. His family loved him more than anything in the world.

Will loved working. He kept a career of trucking and trucking logistics throughout his life. Will loved traveling and seeing new places, which trucking always supported. Out of all his travels, he hated Canada the most. Will loved his family more than snickers and coke combined. Will cared for every one who was placed in his loved, and was loved by all who knew him. He will always be remembered for his kind and loving soul, as well as his love for hosting, and making everyone feel loved through his food and actions.

To carry on the beautiful legacy of Will, his family will be hosting a Celebration of Life, on August 23, 2025, at 4pm at the family's home in Mumford, NY. The celebration will be Willy style, filled with food, laughs and, love.

The family asks that all who knew him come and bring a dish to pass and beautiful stories of him rather than flowers.
