Scott John "Hutch" Hutchison Obituary (1967

Scott was born in Clarkson NY, at Lakeside Memorial Hospital. His childhood home was in Adams Basin, NY. The Hutchison family was very involved in The Boy Scouts of America. His Father "Pops" was their troop leader and an Eagle Scout as were all of his sons. Mom, Pat was their Den Mother. Scott and brothers, Todd, Brian, and Gary grew up in a very loving home. Grandma B, Grandma Hutchison, Grandpa, many Cousins, Aunts, and Uncles gathered for holiday Parties and summer events. Every year for many years in Hamlin, at the VFW the extended family would gather for Thanksgiving, moving over to the fire hall later. Scott's parents loved to take the boys on family vacations and camping every summer. He attended and graduated in 1986 from the Brockport Central School District. He played football, was in chorus and had many friends. "We were best friends through school, we celebrated victories small and large. For as long as I've known 'Hutch' (as many knew him) he has always been the guy who was ready and eager to lend a hand. Always the guy to say, 'I got this' when those he loved bit off more than they could chew. He made every effort to lighten the load for others. He would do the hard work, the heavy lifting, the long hauling and in the end would say something like...'no problem' or 'hey, dat was fun!' and shun any official Thank You in exchange for a hug. With the determination of the roll he took on for so many...Scott chose to be a 'beast of burden'. He would take on the heavy load for all of us that ever called him a brother from another mother. "Scott emulated his dad and followed in his footsteps, even his little impish side. "Scott always claimed that his cousin influenced him in his lifestyle because, he was a roady for a local heavy rock band." He joined the military shortly after graduation. While serving Honorably in Iraq, he transported fuel for the U.S. Army. He then continued serving his country in the private sector in Iraq for KBRTTM delivering fuel. Forman at the AlAsad Air Base. Upon returning, he worked for Key Logistics, Penske Logistics, and as a dispatcher for trucking companies. He was always concerned for the safety of the drivers and "went to the mat for them." Scott was an avid biker, and put many years of passionate service into programs and fund raisers. He volunteered with the VFW, American Legion, Wounded Warriors, Mason's (Scott was a 2nd Degree Mason) and other organizations to benefit the community and his military brothers and sisters. Family was important to Scott weather by blood or by brotherhood. He meet and fell in love with his beautiful wife Kristy. He soon realized they would be together through thick and thin. He proposed at one of his infamous Memorial Day BBQ's with family and friends to witness. They found and adopted, Athena, "Chicken in a Dog Suit". They spent their lives dedicated to each other and family. He loved the Steelers (Terry Bradshaw), playing euchre, BBQ parties, bon fires, and putting his motorcycle in the wind. Scott will be missed, by all who knew and loved him. Loving wife Kristy, Scott's son Christopher (Tomoko) King, brothers, Todd (Melissa), Brian (Lori), Gary (Becky) Hutchison, mother in-law Diane, brothers-in-law, Brian and Tim, Kristy's daughters, Jessica and Andrea and two grandchildren, cousins, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces Athena "chicken in a dog suit", and the many Family and Friends around the world Predeceased by, parents Patricia(Watts) Hutchison, Robert Hutchison, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and many others.
