Robert "Bob" W. Van Dorn Sr.

Robert (Bob) W. Van Dorn Sr. (78) left this world suddenly at home in Batavia. NY.on December 25, 2023. He was predeceased by his parents, Marchal and Edna Van Dorn, stepmother Violet Van Dorn, in laws, Doris and Robert Weaver, sisters Carol Howell and Susan Jones, two step sisters, three brother in laws and a grandchild. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ruth Van Dorn, sisters, Bonnie Nearhoof and Sherry (John) Heary, two step brothers, two brother in laws and a sister in law. Children, Robin (Charles) Van Dorn Watson, Robert (Evie) Van Dorn Jr., Marchal (Kathy) Van Dorn, Becky (Barry) Christie, David (Lisa) Van Dorn, and Patti Royse; 17 grandchildren and a multitude of great-grandchildren.

Bob enjoyed watching westerns on television, fishing, going to bingo or the casino and loved spending time with his family. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and love of the Dallas Cowboys. He is greatly missed by his family.

Friends and family may call Friday December 29, 2023 at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main Street, Caledonia, NY from 11AM-1PM. Funeral Service will follow immediately after calling hours. Interment to follow at Mumford Rural Cemetery.
