Margaret Cimasi Allen

Margaret Cimasi Allen, 66, passed away peacefully on Thursday November 16th, 2023 with loving family by her side. A long-time resident of Rush, she is survived by her husband, James; and her daughter, Emily; her beloved grandson, Oliver; and many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. Calling hours will be held Thursday November 30th from 4-7 pm at Alhart Funeral Home 3068 West Main St. Caledonia. Friends are invited to her Celebration of Life on Friday December 1st at 11 am at the Union Presbyterian Church at 1 Browns Ave, Scottsville.

Margaret was born on 12/27/1956 to Louis and Mary Cimasi. Being raised on a grape farm in Portland NY, Margaret was the youngest of 5 siblings. She always spoke fondly of her memories growing up on the farm and being part of such a large, warm, loving family. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Louis and Mary Cimasi; older brother, Robert Cimasi and beloved niece, Katie Hillyer Smith. Margaret is survived by her siblings- Teresa (Matthew) Ferraro, Charles (Kathleen) Cimasi, John (Debbie) Cimasi, and Anita (Philip) Hillyer Smith. She is also survived by her Allen Siblings, Barbara (Bruce, deceased) Ferguson, Patty (Fred) Sytsma, Steve (Karen) Allen, Scott (Kathy) Allen and MANY beloved nieces and nephews.

Margaret worked for the NYS Unified Court System as a Senior Analyst in Human Resources for over 25 years and made an impact on many lives. She was a hard worker and dedicated to both her career and the people she met along the way. Marge may have worked long hours for several years, but she never lost sight of the important part of life: family. More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her husband, daughter, many friends, and eventually- her pride and joy, her grandson, Oliver. Marge was meant to be a caretaker, a mother figure, and a guiding light in many people's lives.
