Unexpectedly on January 25, 2017 at age 50. He is survived by his son, John Higgins Jr. and daughter, Samantha Higgins, his loving friend, Molly Higgins, brother, Chuck Higgins Jr., sisters; Susan Higgins Westbrook and Tanya Walker, girlfriend, Jennifer Coombs and her son, Dominick.

John was a loving father and wonderful friend to many. He was one to give to all he met. John had a wonderful smile and sense of peace. He will be forever missed by all those who knew him. May he rest in peace and know that he was loved.

Friends are invited to attend a Celebration of His Life on Saturday, February 4, 2017, from 2-6 PM at the J.W. Jones Hall, 366 Leicester Street, Caledonia. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your local fishing or hunting youth club in John's name.
