Jacqueline M Redman (Simms) Obituary (1941

Jacqueline Marie Redman (Simms), was born on March 12, 1941 to her parents William S. Simms and Elizabeth M. Simms (Waters) in Caledonia N.Y. On December 4, 2024 Jacqueline peacefully passed away, at the age of 83, at her sisters home in Caledonia. She is predeceased by her parents William and Elizabeth Simms, brothers Paul Simms and Thomas Simms, Sisters Patricia Greenlea and Marva Simms. She was also predeceased by her husband of almost 56 years, Robert Redman. She is survived by her son Christopher Redman, brothers Gerald Simms and Lewis Simms, sister Judith Simms, godson Cordie Greenlea and Mark Miles, goddaughter Gail and Latisha Simms, along with a host of Nieces, Nephews, Grand Nieces and Grand Nephews, and Cousins. Jacqueline graduated from Caledonia-Mumford school in 1959. After graduation, she went to work at Chloride in Caledonia, NY, where she worked for over 40 years. In addition to work she also took classes at Genesee Community College, with a focus on geriatrics. After Chloride closed she went to work at Heritage Christian Services, as a Direct Support Person. Her favorite pastime was reading, bowling. She was also involved in Eastern Star. She was a Past Matron of Estella Chapter #7, PHA, where she also served as Chapter secretary, Past Most Ancient Matron, Zipporah Court #10, PHA, a member of Bison Assembly #48, and a member of The Golden Circle. She was appointed District Deputy Grand Marshall of District 7 of the Eureka Grand Chapter Prince Hall Order of Eastern Star, Inc. Jacqueline was a life long member of 2nd Baptist Church of Mumford, where she served as Treasurer and taught Sunday school. She was a gentle, compassionate, loving, and kind person, she will be missed dearly by her remaining friends and family. The family would also like to thank Livingston County Hospice for all the services they provided. Their kindness and compassion was greatly appreciated. Friends may call Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 4-6:30 P.M. with her Eastern Star Service at 6:30 P.M. at the Second Baptist Church, 957 George St., Mumford where her Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 13, 2024 at 11 A.M. Interment Mumford Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson Research.
