Caledonia: Passed away on Sunday July 27, 2014 at the home of her daughter, Patricia E. Greenlea. Predeceased by her husband, William S. Simms; son, Paul J. Simms; granddaughter, Mary Shaw; son-in-law, Warren Greenlea; brother-in-law, LeRoy Duncan; and daughter-in-law, Linda Simms. She is survived by her daughters, Jacqueline M. (Robert) Redman, Judith A. Simms, Marva A. Simms; sons, Thomas M. (Gloria) Simms, Gerald S. Simms, Lewis R. (Ilene) Simms; brother, Donald C. (Barbara) Waters of Newark, NY; and sister, Alice Duncan of Oak Park, MI; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 God sons, Barton Lucas and Richard Shelton; several nieces and nephews, a host of relatives in Washington, DC, Maryland; friends and her Masonic family; a special family, the Whites (Ronald, Darlene, Ronald Jr. and Venita).

Viewing hours will be on Friday August 1, 2014 at the Second Baptist Church, 957 George St., Mumford from 4 PM - 9 PM. Her Eastern Star Service at 7 PM. Her Funeral Service at Second Baptist Church will be on Saturday at 11 AM. Interment, Mumford Rural Cemetery following the service.
