Deforest W. Truman Obituary (1930

Truman, DeForest W. Caledonia: Passed peacefully with his family at his side on Sat!urday, July 9. 2016 at age 85. Predeceased by his parents, DeForest and Hazel Truman. Survived by his lov!ing wife of 56 years, Teresa; his daughter, Patrice Kaness and son, David (Lisa) Tru!man; grandchildren, Jason (Lynn), Joshua Kaness, Melissa (Jeremy) Wilson, Madeline Truman; The special light of his life was his great-granddaughter, Alexa Wilson who he thought the world of. His great-grandson Ryan Wilson brought him even more joy and love. DeForest served his country as a United States Ma!rine during the Korean War honor!ably and was highly decorated with a purple heart for his bravery during combat. He worked at Industry, sold nationwide Insurance and retired from several years at Kodak. Deforest was adopted and felt a special place in his heart for children without families. He loved making people laugh, going to the casino, the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. Friends may call Tuesday 4-7PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia, where his Funeral Service will be held Wednesday 10AM. Interment St. Columba Cemetery, Caledonia.
