Charles W. "Chuck " D'Angelo Obituary (1937

Charles(Chuck) W. D'Angelo was born on May 19, 1937 to Dominick and Carrie D'Angelo of Avon, NY. He graduated from Avon High School in 1954. He was a gifted student and musician. He graduated in 1959 from University of Buffalo. He also earned multiple Master's Degrees from UCLA, University of Maine, and Brockport University. Chuck went on to teach Science and coach football at North Tonawanda and York High School. In 1963 he went on to teach at Gates Chili High School until retiring in 1992. In 1959, he married Camille Patti of Hornell, NY, who was his college sweetheart. They settled in Caledonia in 1962. They went on to have daughters Holly, Valerie, and Julie. He had a wonderful teaching career and was beloved by his students and Faculty. He moved to Batavia in 2000 after his wife passed in 1998. In 2002 he met the amazing Dominica Wood and they remained together until his death. Chuck had many hobbies. He was a Ham Radio operator/instructor and built his own Ham Radio Equipment.. He loved Remote Control airplanes and boats. Chuck was a very accomplished musician. He attended Eastman School of Music for Voice while in High School and also played multiple instruments. Chuck loved football and was an avid NCAA College Football Fan. He also loved Yankee Baseball. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Chuck loved playing cards and board games. He loved Conesus Lake and Fort Myers Beach where he fished. Chuck also was into teaching Boating Safety and assisted the Livingston County Sheriff's Boat Patrol. Chuck was predeceased by his wife Camille, parents Dominick and Carrie D'Angelo, Brother Phil(Gladys) D'Angelo, Niece Susan Dougherty. He is survived by longtime companion Dominica Wood, daughters Holly, Valerie(Ken Baggett), Julie(Tammy Weber). Grandchildren Erin Maucieri(Joe), Marisa Bailey, Leanna Dunlap, and Charles Baggett. Great grandchildren Maddox and Lucas Maucieri. Many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Friday, December 8, 2023 from 3-7 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia. Private Service and interment. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to your favorite Hospice charity.
