Kenneth W Embling
6/23/37 to 8/21/23. Of Caledonia, NY passed away peacefully on August 21, 2023 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Norma (Harris) Embling, parents Ward and Hazel Embling, and siblings Floyd Embling and Doris (Embling) Bailor. Ken is survived by children Steve Embling, Kathy (Embling) Warren and husband Mike, and Christine Embling, grandchildren Jake and Ryan Warren, and wonderful nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Ken and Norma resided in Caledonia for more than 50 years in their well-loved house on East Avenue and had a wonderful group of friends. Ken had a long career working at General Railway Signal in Rochester, NY as a project manager. He also managed apartments, worked at Neisner’sDepartment Store and was part owner of Kurt’s Trains in the Village of Caledonia. He also had one of the most unbelievable model train sets that took up the entire third floor of the house on East Ave. In addition to his love of trains, he had many interests and hobbies ranging from hot air ballooning, golfing, playing cards, classic cars and woodworking.
There will be a celebration of Ken’s life on Saturday, August 26th from 1-4pm at Caledonia Country Club, 303 Park Place, Caledonia. We invite everyone who would like to share memories and partake in a toast to Ken to join us.
