Obituary for Douglas J. Krenzer
CALEDONIA- Douglas J. Krenzer died suddenly at the age of 59 on April 9, 2023. Predeceased by his father, John E. Krenzer. He is survived by Elizabeth DeSantis, his mother Jane E. Krenzer, his sisters, Dawn (Richard) Pascoe, Deborah (Dale) Krenzer-Lewter, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, an uncle and aunt and many cousins. He is survived by his four fur babies.
Doug was a graduate from Caledonia-Mumford Central School and received an Associate’s Degree in Communications from Genesee Community College. As a youth, he was active in the 4-H Club and enjoyed showing rabbits. Doug worked as a sports writer covering high school sports for the Caledonia Advertiser, The Clarion, and the Livingston County News. As an avid sports fan, his favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Los Angeles Dodgers. Doug enjoyed volunteering at Lollypop Farm.
Doug’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service at Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St. Caledonia on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, please consider a gift to Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Rd, Fairport, NY 14450, or your favorite animal rescue in Doug’s memory.
