Mumford- passed away on March 23, 2022 at the age of 96. Born in Syracuse, N.Y. on December 31, 1925. She Graduated from Red Creek School in 1943, under the name Alma Ashley. Alma lived lived in Red Creek until 1974 when she moved to the Rochester Area, settling in Mumford with her husband Homer McQuown. Alma was a Crossing Guard for the Town of Wheatland, she also worked for the Visiting Nurse Service caring for many patients over the years.

Alma is survived by her son Wayne R. (Valerie) Blaisdell, grandchildren Brian Blaisdell, Melissa Blaisdell, Adam Blaisdell, Great Grandchildren; Carter, Emmett, Addyson Blaisdell Dakato Blaisdell.
Church and the fellowship of all its members was a big part of Alma’s Life.
Alma’s Funeral Service will be held at the 1st Baptist Church 5 Dakin St. Mumford, NY on Saturday, April 3rd at 12:20 PM. A reception will follow after the Funeral Service.
