Obituary for Earl J. Harkness
July 1, 2021 at age 86. Predeceased by his mother and father, Earl and Ruth and son, Glenn Harkness, sisters, Marcia Barber, Dorothy Brassie and Ruth Kelly . He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Carole, their children, David (Melinda) Harkness, and Diane (Gary Stokesberry) Jennings, daughter-in-law, Diana Harkness, 9 grandchildren; April (Doug) Lewis, Adam Harkness, David Harkness, Nicole Harkness, Cory (Chelsea) Harkness, Cheryl (Chris) Church, Jason Jennings, Justin Jennings, Caitlin (Chris) Kennison, 17 great-grandchildren, sister, Shirley Ellefson, many nieces and nephews.
Earl retired from Chloride Electro Networks as assistant foreman. He enjoyed gardening, playing golf and watching his grandchildren play sports.
Friends may call Wednesday, July 7 from 4-7 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3078 West Main St., Caledonia where his service will be held Thursday, July 8 at 10 A.M. Interment will be held at St. Columba Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1120 S. Goodman St., Rochester, NY 14620.
