Obituary for Fred H Maas
Fred H. Maas, 85, peacefully passed away under the loving care of his family on June 22, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Donna (Price) Maas, they shared 56 years of marriage together.
Fred was born in Susquehanna, PA, to the late Fredrick and Elizabeth Maas. He was employed at IBM Endicott as an Engineering Program Manager for 27 years.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Caledonia and found much strength and solace in his faith. He loved to spend time puttering around in the garage and working on his cars. He had done it all from rebuilding motors to a wooden boat restoration. If there was a tool for the job, he had it and could fix anything that ever needed to be repaired.
He is survived by his loving wife Donna; daughters Edie and Amie; grandchildren Chelsea and Ryan; sisters Carol (Larry-deceased) Alderdice, Nancy (Eugene) Baker; and brothers John (Suzanne-deceased) Maas and Jim (Billie) Maas.
His funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 3rd at 11am at the First Presbyterian Church, 3080 Main Street, Caledonia, NY 14423. Interment will be a private family service held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Caledonia.
