November 29, 2020 at age 91. He is survived by his wife, Joan Boylan Smith, his daughters, Pat (Ron) Spezzano, Sue (Steve) Reidmiller; grandchildren, Christie (Jim) DeWald, April (Chris) Cottis, Josh (Rachel) Davis; 7 great-grandchildren.
Jim was a sergeant in the US Army during the Korean War and was the oldest member of the American Legion Clary Post. He retired from Alen Baily Tag, Caledonia and was a member of the Caledonia Country Club.
Service and interment will be held privately.
