Obituary for Timothy A. Deragon
GENESEO-AVON - April 6, 2020 at age 86. He is survived by his children, Timothy (Christine) Deragon of Corning, Jeffrey (Susan) Deragon of Caledonia, Gregory (Kris) Deragon of Avon; daughter, Cheryl (Donald) Simpson of Livonia; grandchildren, Justin (Laura), Matthew Deragon, Katherine (Thomas) Velociter, Anita, Benjamin (Erin), Emily, Ethan and Joshua Deragon, Trevor, Daniel, Bailey and Chandler Simpson; great-grandchildren, Damien, Alex Velociter and Charlotte, Emma Deragon; brothers, Elias “Jr”, David (Geraldine), Gary, Barry (Marlene) Deragon; sister-in-law, Joan Deragon; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Betty H. Deragon; brothers, Daniel and John Deragon; sisters, Anna Amadio, and Lillian McKee. Tim proudly served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was active in the Geneseo Fire Department for many years and was Chief serving from 1968 to 1970. Tim was always good at remembering and telling a good joke. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed meeting people at the local coffee shops.
Calling hours and a Funeral Mass will be held at a later date. Private family interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Geneseo. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Geneseo Fire Dept. History and Preservation Fund, P.O. Box 428, Geneseo, NY 14454.
