Obituary for Floyd E. "Gene" "Moe" Anderson
CALEDONIA - April 15, 2019 at age 86. He is survived by his children, Kathleen and Mark Brown, Judy and Laurence Schweichler, DDS, Timothy and Linda Anderson; 6 grandchildren, Christopher (Erica), Patrick (Jenn) Brown, John (Reem) Schweichler and Jane (Dan) Leyva, Michael and Hannah Anderson; great-grandchild, Emma Schweichler; sister-in-law, Mary Cullinan; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his wife, Helen in 2011 and sisters, June Porubek, Dorothy Jimerson and Ruth Hecker.
Floyd retired from the New York State Thruway Authority, he also worked Part Time at Caledonia Diesel, and owned and operated a Newton Farm in York, NY . Floyd had many accomplishments throughout his life that included Past Town Supervisor of the Town of York and Past President of the York School Board of Education.
He was an avid supporter of all six of his grandchildren's sports.
Friends may call Wednesday 4-7PM at Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday 11AM at St. Martin De Porres Parish St. Columba Church, North Street Caledonia. Interment St. Columba Cemetery.
