Obituary

Calvin Lee Johnston
November 19th, 2018-December 31st, 2018
Born at Unity Hospital in Rochester, NY
A perfect 7lb 15oz 21" baby boy born with dark brown hair and eyes, the sweetest dimple chin and longest fingers and toes. From the moment he arrived he hated to be touched by anyone that wasn’t mom or dad. His favorite things to do were eat with his mommy and keep his daddy awake. As his nickname "Megatron" implies, he was a born fighter. He fought to not come into this world and he fought not to leave it. Although he was only here for a short time, he brought a glimmer of light into the lives of many. He lost a courageous 5 week battle at Golisano's Children's Hospital where he passed away surrounded by his loving family and friends, and several wonderful Nurses and Doctors that became like family. He is survived by his parents Brenna Lee Osborn and Kenneth Paul Johnston, big brother Ethan, Uncle Schuyler and Aunt Brianna, Uncle Chase and Aunt Hannah, Uncle Cody and Aunt Lacy; Grandparents Laurie and Richard Prescott, Ken and Jody Johnston, and Jay and Brenda Osborn; Great Grandparents Delores and Johnny Nichols and MaryJane Walton.

"The ripples of his love made waves in this universe, creating a more beautiful place for us all to belong."

His Funeral Mass will be held Monday, January 7th, 2018 at 11:00 am, at St. Martin DePorres Parish, St. Columba Church, 198 North St. Caledonia, NY. There will be a private gathering held following the service for close family and friends. In lieu of flowers please make donations to either the Ronald McDonald House 333 Westmoreland Drive, Rochester, NY 14620 or the Golisano's Children Hospital, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester, NY 14642.
