A 1955 graduate of Baldwinsville High School, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the destroyer escort USS Kirkpatrick. He attended LeMoyne College, Syracuse and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. Mr. Hanley served in the Peace Corps in Nigeria as a teacher of physics and math from 1967-1969.
Predeceased by brother, James and sister, Marguaret Rose, he is survived by brothers, William Hanley of Nedrow, NY and Francis Hanley of Columbia, PA; sisters, Mary Herndon of San Miguel, Mexico and Eleanor Hanley of Friendswood, TX and many nieces and nephews.
