Lauffer, John C. (Jack)
Caledonia: February 29, 2016 at age 84. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Jean Lauffer; their children, Michael (Maria), Timothy (Vickie), Thomas (Chris) Lauffer, Kathleen (Dean) Man¬ley; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Patricia (Don) VanWinkle; brother, Robert (Vee) Lauffer; many nieces and nephews.
Jack was a 1953 graduate of St. Bonaventure University with a Business Degree. He served in the US army from 1955-1957. He worked at Peat Marwick as an auditor. Jack taught business at Wheatland-Chili High School then transitioned to the business office at Wheatland-Chili School District. He also served as assistant superintendent at the business office at the Spencerport business office and later went on to Monroe BOCES II as the assistant superintendent for administration and finance. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed woodworking.
Friends may call Thursday 4-7PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia. His Funeral Mass will be held Friday 10AM at St. Columba Church, Caledonia. Private Interment. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Caledonia Ambulance, P.O. Box 3, Caledonia, NY 14423.
