Caledonia: Passed away peacefully on December 2, 2014 at the LeRoy Village Green. Born in York, NY she was the daughter of Frederick and Alice Farrell. Sally spent most of her life in the Caledonia area. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Columba Church in Caledonia and assumed an active role in many of the church’s activities throughout the years. Sally was also an avid fan of high school sports and especially enjoyed attending the Red Raider football games and wrestling matches. She was a terrific cook and was known throughout the village for her baking expertise, especially her famous rolls. Sally will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Everyone that knew her benefited from her kindness. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at LeRoy Village Green for the wonderful care she received.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Borden “Bud” Davis (1944), her second husband, John F. Flynn Sr. (1987) and her youngest son, John F. Flynn Jr. (1975). Sally was the beloved mother of Patricia “Pat” (Ray) Burdick, Mary “Mike” (Richard) Tetrault, Joan (Carl) Rueckert, Alice Flynn and Larry (Janet) Flynn; she was the proud grandmother of 11, great-grandmother of 8 and great-great grandmother of 1. Sally is also survived by her sister, Alice Kohout and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia from 4-7 PM on Friday December 5. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Columba Church, 198 North St., Caledonia on Saturday December 6 at 10 AM.
