John E. Krenzer
Krenzer, John E. Unexpectedly on April 17, 2017 after a lengthy illness at age 76. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph P. and Mary Shelly Krenzer. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jane Simpson Krenzer; son, Douglas (Elizabeth DeSantis) Krenzer; daughters, Dawn (Richard) Pascoe and Deborah (Dale Lewter) Johnson; grandchildren, Lee Johnson, Allysa and Chelsea Pascoe; step-grandchildren, Austin, Mitchell and Jarrett Lewter; brothers Joseph and Richard (Gloria) Krenzer and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

John graduated from Morrisville State College with an A.S. degree. He was retired from Curtis Burns, a division of Comstock Foods, and William Hamilton and Sons where he worked as a truck driver for many years. John was involved in 4H as a leader for over 20 years with various projects with his children.

John loved working in his gardens and deer hunting. The highlight of his world was spending time with his grandchildren. John was a member of the Caledonia Fire Department for over fifty years where he served as Lieutenant, Captain and President.

Friends and family may call Sunday, 4-7 pm, at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia. A memorial service will be held Monday, 11 am, at Geneseo United Methodist Church, 4520 Genesee St., Geneseo, NY. Following the memorial, a reception will be held at J.W. Jones Hall, 366 Leicester Rd, Caledonia, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Caledonia Fire Dept., PO Box 1, Caledonia, NY 14423.
