Caledonia: Unexpectedly on April 12, 2017 at age 71. Predeceased by his father, Duncan Torpey. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carol; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Chris Oppelt; grandchildren, Ryan and Rachel Oppelt; mother, Jeanette; brother, Michael and sister, Mary Ann Torpey; 1 niece and 1 nephew. Tom retired as Police Chief for the Village of Caledonia and was also the Past Chief of the Caledonia Fire Dept.
Friends may call Monday 2-5PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St., Caledonia. Private Service and Interment. Following calling hours a reception will be held at J. W. Jones Hall, 366 Leicester St., Caledonia. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Caledonia Fire Dept., P.O. Box 1, Caledonia, NY 14423.
