Margaret Flick Barton (Marnie) 91, a long time resident of Caledonia, NY was a resident of Keller, Texas at the time of her passing on December 6, 2016.
Born December 21, 1924 in Creekside, PA to Mary and James Flick, Marnie was married to Arnold (Arnie) Barton for more than 50 years. Marnie’s strong sense of family was evident in her many interests including oil painting, poetry writing, and wood burning.
Predeceased by her spouse, Arnie Barton, Marnie is survived by her daughters, Marjorie (Larry) Hunt of Denton, TX, and Barbara (Donald) Neale of Arlington, TX, son Neil (Lillian) Barton of Churchville, NY, and daughter Bernice (Michael) Harris of Rockholds, KY; 10 grandchildren Geoffrey (Megan), Marnie, Lindsey (Don), Carrie, Adrienne (Erik), Ryan (Traci), Neil (Michelle), Chad (Kristie), Garth, and Aaron (Jennifer); 17 great- grandchildren Abbi, Nicholas, Gracie, Braedon, Donnie, Angela, Jackson, Cavyn, Averie, Natalie, McKenna, Owen, Erik, Tucker, Camden, and twins Neil and Olivia; sisters Elizabeth Rubenstein and Eleanor Reynolds and brother James (Mary) Flick; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents Mary and James Flick, sisters Dorothy Glendenning, Ruth Mitchell and twin sister Marjorie Lango, and younger brother Robert Flick. A celebration of Marnie’s life will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 3080 Main Street, Caledonia in Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 11:00 A.M.
