Patricia Newton Grant
Caledonia: On November 25, 2014 at age 84. She was born in Virginia in 1930 to Lester and Bessie Newton, and moved to Caledonia when she married. A graduate of James Madison University, Patricia was employed at the Pfaudler Co. for many years and retired from the University of Rochester Medical Center. She was a member of Caledonia First Presbyterian Church, and an associate member of Woodlawn Presbyterian Church in St. Petersburg, FL where she wintered for many years. She is survived by her son, Douglas; daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Mark Towers; grandchildren, William Grant, Hunter and Chase Towers, Kaylea and Jesse Grant; her brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Peggy Newton; nieces, nephews and cousins. Her beloved husband, William Grant, her parents and nephews, Kenny and Larry Grant predeceased Patricia.
Friends may call Wednesday, December 3, 2014 from 4-7 PM at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 West Main Street, Caledonia. Patricia’s Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 11 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, 3080 Main Street, Caledonia, NY 14423. Her interment will take place at Mumford Rural Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Caledonia First Presbyterian Church, the Caledonia Library, 3108 Main Street, Caledonia, NY 14423 or Woodlawn Presbyterian Church, 2612 12th St. N., St. Petersburg, FL 33704.
